What to Expect

What to expectSessions last for fifty minutes. The first session, and sometimes the first two sessions, are assessments in which the aim is to obtain a detailed understanding of the difficulties that you are experiencing. Time is then given to exploring the best way forward and to considering whether I am the best therapist for you.

The relationship is very important in any therapy and the decision to work together is a joint one. It must be agreed upon by both of us. We will then work out a way forward and arrange a suitable time to meet on a regular basis. This time is then largely fixed from week to week as the regularity and consistency is very helpful to progress.
