Your First Appointment

Please note that 245 Alcester Road South is also known as the Birmingham Centre for Chinese medicine so please do not think you have come to the wrong address.  I am not part of the centre but do have my consulting room in this building.  When you first arrive you need to ring on the BCCM doorbell where there is usually a receptionist who can let you into the reception room.  You are welcome to wait here should you have arrived early.  There are toilets situated on each floor.  My consulting room is on the second floor which is up two flights of stairs.  Should mobility be a difficulty there is space available on the ground floor so this can be arranged if necessary. Should you arrive at a time when the receptionist is not usually there or away on leave I will have made arrangements with you to ring on the door at the time of your appointment in which case I will answer the door personally.

Parking

There is plenty of parking immediately behind the building.  You need to turn into the drive and proceed under the archway until you reach the parking area.  There are three parking spaces in front of the building, however there are reserved for individuals with walking difficulties so please only use these if this applies to you.

Buses

245 Alcester Road South is next door the the Kings Heath Cricket Club and the number 50 Bus stop is right there.  The buses run frequently from the city centre from the far side of Selfridges, towards the back of Marks and Spencer’s.  The journey is usually about 30 minutes but can be longer at rush hour and school times.
